The clinical techniques area (phantom heads) provides a stunning educational facility for both postgraduate and undergraduate training and is without doubt the focus of DDEC. There are 38 student workstations and one central Tutor’s station. All have audio visual links to the Tutor’s station and can also be linked to the lecture/seminar rooms below. The facility enables the demonstration of techniques and procedures to much larger groups and will also allow specialist events such as master-classes to be held within the Centre.

A local decontamination unit (LDU) has also been installed as a training facility adjacent to clinical techniques, providing an invaluable teaching resource in particular for all Dental Care Professionals including dental nurses undertaking their pre-registration training.
